Description

Össur Rebound Universal Panel Knee Immobiliser Brace

The Össur Rebound Universal Panel Knee Immobiliser is designed to hold the knee in a stable, straight position following injury, surgery or during emergency care. Its adjustable three-panel construction allows the brace to accommodate a wide range of leg shapes and circumferences, while the rigid stays help restrict movement and support the knee during the early stages of recovery. The brace is suitable for short-term knee immobilisation under the guidance of a surgeon, physiotherapist or other healthcare professional.

Stable knee support when movement needs to be restricted

Following some knee injuries and surgical procedures, it may be necessary to prevent the knee from bending while damaged or healing tissues are protected. The Rebound Knee Immobiliser uses rigid posterior stays behind the leg, together with adjustable medial and lateral stays at the sides of the knee, to help maintain the required position. The level and duration of immobilisation should always be determined by the treating healthcare professional.

Adjustable three-panel design

The universal three-piece design can be adjusted around the leg to provide a secure fit across a broad range of thigh circumferences. This makes the brace suitable for many different patients and allows the fit to be adapted where swelling or leg shape may change during recovery.

MR Conditional design

The Rebound Knee Immobiliser has an MR Conditional rating, meaning a patient may be scanned in an MR system while maintaining knee immobilisation, provided all conditions in the manufacturer’s instructions for use are followed. Always inform the radiology team that the brace is being worn before entering an MRI environment. The healthcare team should confirm that the product and scanning conditions meet the requirements stated in the instructions for use.

Professional guidance is recommended

The Össur Rebound Universal Panel Knee Immobiliser should be fitted or checked by a healthcare professional. The stays and panels must be positioned correctly to provide suitable support without creating unnecessary pressure around the leg. Patients should not alter the brace, remove the stays or begin bending the knee unless advised to do so by their surgeon, physiotherapist or healthcare professional.
