Össur Formfit Gel Ankle Stirrup
The Össur Formfit Gel Ankle Stirrup is a rigid ankle support designed to stabilise the joint following moderate to severe sprains, post-surgical recovery or chronic instability. By restricting inversion and eversion, it helps protect vulnerable ligaments while the ankle heals.
Unlike soft compression sleeves, this stirrup brace provides structured side-to-side control. The contoured shell holds the ankle in a neutral position, helping reduce strain during walking and early rehabilitation.
This brace is ambidextrous and can be worn on either the left or right foot.

- Secure Fit Inside Footwear
- The brace is worn over a sock, with a stabilising strap positioned beneath the foot. Silicone grip dots help reduce movement inside the shoe, improving comfort and confidence during walking.
Step into the brace and centre the side shells along the ankle and lower leg.
Position the heel strap evenly under the foot and adjust if required.
Secure the lower strap first while holding the shells in position.
Wrap the top strap and then readjust the lower strap for a firm, supportive fit.
